Beautiful accent chair is American Empire in styling. It's a replica of a combination reading chair and library step stool. The chair back is designed to fold over to create useful steps for reaching higher shelves. Make this sturdy chair of cherry, mahogany, or maple and dress it with brass hinges and screws. As chair: 17-1/4" wide, 18" deep, 33-1/2" high. As steps, 33-1/2" high. A super project that is a true classic. Sure to get plenty of use as both chair...and steps.
This is a blueprint style plan which is heralded by beginners and
experts alike as being a pleasure to work from because all parts are printed in full size
-- all joinery is shown in actual size -- all curved workpieces are all
in full size -- and therefore you can measure and trace straight from
the drawing if necessary. An exact cutting list doubles as a bill
of materials, there is a detailed exploded diagram with labelled parts,
and all hardware requirements are provided. The blueprint style
large format plan is so detailed that project specific assembly
